Dabbing is the act of applying heat to concentrates in order to create a vapor you then inhale. As concentrates are much more potent when compared to flower (roughly 60-85 percent of the good stuff, while flower typically maxes out around 25 percent), the effects of dabbing are usually more intense than smoking flower.
Further, dabbing uses convective heat as opposed to conductive heat, meaning the torch warms the concentrate indirectly. Because of this, dabbing is generally considered safer than alternative methods, such as inhaling the smoke from directly burnt flower.
